ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Marian
Head has been initiating revolutions in business, government and
education since the early 1970s. Her diverse experiences as organizer,
facilitator, entrepreneur and leader include serving on the US Senate
staff for nine years; initiating and co-chairing the Boulder Graduate
School’s Department of Leadership and Organizational Transformation;
serving as Program Coordinator for the historic Soviet-American Citizens’ Summits
in Washington DC and Moscow; and co-facilitating the Global Forums
of Spiritual and Parliamentary Leaders in Oxford and Moscow. The
latter provided a forum for leaders such as His Holiness the Dalai
Lama, Mother Teresa, Senator Gore and President Gorbachev to work together
to resolve issues of human survival.
In 1985
Marian co-founded the Geneva Group, a network of businesspeople formed
around a set of principles that has since evolved into the Revolutionary
Agreements. Since that time, Marian has devoted herself to introducing
these principles into the lives and work of hundreds of thousands of
people throughout the world. In 2005, Marian was honored as “America’s
Top Author” by ConsciousOne, with a membership of 750,000.
Marian’s passion for the principles of authentic leadership
and compassionate communication have led her to speak before audiences
of thousands; to consult with businesses ranging from mom-‘n’-pops
to the Fortune 100; to serve on and chair national and international
committees and boards for both profit and nonprofit organizations;
and to continually search out new avenues and contexts for her pioneering
work.
With the release of Revolutionary Agreements, Marian’s
speaking venues have expanded to bookstores (including Tattered Cover,
the largest independent bookstore in Colorado), radio, TV, webinars & teleconferences. She
also enjoys launching six-week Revolutionary Agreements programs
led by members of organizations and churches. (Click

As one
of the top 100 (of ½ million) independent sales associates
for Mannatech Corporation, Marian was elected by leader peers in 2002
to serve as their first woman chairperson of the company’s international
Associate Advisory Council. Prior to this, in 1998, the Mannatech field
leadership adopted an early version of the Revolutionary Agreements
as their “Leadership Agreements.”
Among her pioneering works, Marian co-authored VisionWorks: Setting
Your Sights on Success; The American Team: 7 Steps to Genuine Teamwork
in the White House and Beyond; and Rings of Empowerment. She
serves as a contributing writer and editor for Networking Times and
as a coach to private individuals and business leaders nationwide.
Today,
Marian is spreading the seeds of a new revolution: how
to create a positive future for all of humanity, by adopting Agreements
with ourselves for living a positive life today.
